Your plan
Your 52-week ipon plan — every date and amount
A goal, a way to save and the day of week 1. You get the deposit for every week, the running total and the chart; the tracker prints on one sheet of A4 by width.
- Print the tracker or keep the Excel on your phone; tick the box every week.
- Sign the pledge with an ipon buddy — someone who asks you about it every month.
- When the weeks end: put the total to work in Pag-IBIG MP2 (step 2) or keep it as your emergency fund.
Arithmetic only: increasing — week n × step, step = goal ÷ (1 + 2 + … + N) rounded up to the peso (₱10 × 52 weeks = ₱13,780); same amount — goal ÷ N rounded up; ₱20 bills — goal ÷ ₱20 ÷ N bills a week rounded up. Bank deposits are insured by PDIC up to ₱1 million per depositor, per bank.

Give me your goal and I will give you 52 dates with an amount next to each. Tick them off — the chart shows how far you are.
Choose the way you will really keep. A plan you finish beats a big plan you stop in March.

Deadlines
The rules, with the source
| What | Deadline | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Classic 52-week challenge | ₱10 × week number: ₱10 in week 1, ₱520 in week 52, ₱13,780 in total | Arithmetic: 10 × (1 + 2 + … + 52) = 10 × 1,378 |
| Any goal, increasing step | Step = goal ÷ 1,378, rounded up to the peso; the total ends a little above the goal | Same formula |
| Same amount every week | Goal ÷ 52, rounded up to the peso | Same formula |
| ₱20 bills | Goal ÷ ₱20 ÷ 52 bills a week, rounded up | Same formula |
| Savings account in a bank | Deposits are insured by PDIC up to ₱1 million per depositor, per bank (since 15 March 2025) | PDIC — maximum deposit insurance coverage |
| Pag-IBIG MP2 after the challenge | Minimum ₱500 per payment; term 5 years from the first payment; dividends declared every year | Virtual Pag-IBIG — MP2 Savings, Terms and Conditions, items 3, 5, 7 |
An alkansya is the simplest place for the weekly money, but it earns nothing. A separate savings account is insured by PDIC; MP2 earns dividends but locks the money for 5 years except for the reasons Pag-IBIG lists.
Step by step
What to do, in order
1
Pick a goal and a mode
Enter a target. Increasing is the classic; same amount is easier to budget; ₱20 bills suits cash in hand.
2
Pick week 1
Choose the weekday you are paid or get cash. The calculator dates every deposit.
3
Print the tracker
Download the Excel or print the plan below. Put it where you see it.
4
Sign the pledge
Add an ipon buddy who checks on you every month.
5
Deposit and tick the box
Missed a week? Add it to the next one — the total stays the same.
6
Make it earn
When the 52 weeks end, the total can go to Pag-IBIG MP2 — step 2.
Questions
What is the 52-week ipon challenge?
You save a little more each week: ₱10 in week 1, ₱20 in week 2, up to ₱520 in week 52 — ₱13,780 in a year. The calculator does the same for any goal.
Can I do it for ₱100,000?
Yes: about ₱73 × the week number, which is ₱3,796 in week 52. If that is too much at the end, choose "same amount every week" — about ₱1,924 a week.
I want it by Christmas. When do I start?
Count back 52 weeks from your last deposit. For Christmas 2027, week 1 is on 28 December 2026; starting earlier works too — enter your own date.
