Ajo contribution agreement — the rotation, the pot and the rules everyone signs
Short answer. Enter the contribution, the number of members and how often you pay: you get the rotation with dates, the pot and a tracker. How an ajo works: every member pays the same contribution on every collection day; one member takes the whole pot in turn until everyone has collected once (The agreement below).

Planning suggestions, not legal deadlines: an ajo is an agreement among members.

Your ajo group
Your ajo — every collection day and who takes the money
The contribution, the number of members and how often you pay. You get the dated rotation, the pot and a chart; send the same terms to your group with one tap.
Invite members
Your group gets this page with the same terms and the same rotation. Each member opens the agreement below and writes in their name and turn; the coordinator keeps the signed copies.
- Send the link to your group chat — everyone sees the same terms and the same rotation.
- Agree the order of turns in front of everyone, write it in the agreement and let every member sign next to their turn.
- On every collection day gather the contributions, give the pot and tick it in the Excel tracker.
Arithmetic only: pot = contribution × members; n rounds; every member puts in exactly the pot and takes it once — no interest, no fee, no deduction. A collector who keeps a fee or a scheme that promises returns is something else: check before you join.

Write the order of turns down before anyone pays. Most ajo quarrels start with «I thought I was next».
Keep the tracker up to date after every collection — the group can see who has paid.

The rules, with the source
| What | Deadline | Source |
|---|---|---|
| How an ajo works | Every member pays the same contribution on every collection day; one member takes the whole pot in turn until everyone has collected once | The agreement below |
| Pot | Contribution × number of members — the same for every turn | Arithmetic |
| Rounds | As many as there are members; everyone puts in exactly the pot and takes it once | Arithmetic |
| Early and late turns | Early turns get the money first (a free loan from the group); late turns save first — agree the order in front of everyone | The agreement below |
| Fees and interest | None in this agreement. A collector who keeps a fee, or a scheme that promises returns, is a different arrangement — check before you join | The agreement below |
An ajo is a private agreement among members; this page does not cite a law. Write the rules down and let everyone sign before the first contribution.

Questions
What should an ajo agreement say?
The contribution, how often, the first and last collection day, the order of turns, what happens if someone pays late or leaves, and every member's signature. The agreement below has all of it.
Who should take the first turn?
Agree it openly — drawing lots is common. Early turns get the money first; late turns save first. Write the order down.
What if a member stops paying after collecting?
They still owe the remaining contributions to the group. That is why everyone signs the agreement before the first collection.
