Top up your CPF before 31 December — and see the tax you save next year

Your income and what you plan to top up for yourself and your family. You get the relief, the tax with and without it, and how much to put aside each month until 31 December.

  1. Top up through the CPF website or app (cash top-up to SA/RA/MediSave) — and keep the receipt.
  2. Top-ups made by 31 December 2026 count for YA 2027; IRAS applies the relief automatically from CPF records.
  3. Topping up for parents or grandparents: check they qualify on the IRAS page (and, for spouse or siblings, the income test).

IRAS «CPF Cash Top-up Relief» (updated 7 August 2026): up to S$8,000 for cash top-ups to your own accounts (shared with MediSave top-ups) and up to S$8,000 for family members; contributions made in 2026 get relief in YA 2027; top-ups that attract Matched Retirement Savings Scheme grants do not qualify; the S$80,000 cap applies to all personal reliefs together. Tax: resident rates from YA 2024 (IRAS «Individual Income Tax rates», updated 27 April 2026), before rebates. An estimate, not tax advice.
