Questions
What does a slava for 20 guests cost?
Mostly food and drinks: enter your own prices. In the example (fictitious amounts) RSD 65,500, or RSD 6,167 a week from 21 October to St Nicholas after RSD 10,000 already saved.
What do I need to buy for a slava?
For the slava bread and žito: wheat, walnuts, sugar, flour, yeast, the slava candle, red wine and incense. For the table: meat or fish, sour cabbage and mince for sarma, rice, starters, potatoes, bread, drinks. The full list with quantities per guest is in the file.
Is St Nicholas a Lenten slava?
Yes: 19 December falls in the Nativity Fast, so the table is Lenten — fish, Lenten sarma, prebranac. The list has a Lenten part.
