Want a reminder on each saving day until the wedding?
The calendar file works without an account. The reminder needs a free account so we know where to send it.- Agree the total with both families before booking anything.
- Book the party palace first — popular dates go months ahead.
- Record every advance on the «Payments» sheet so you know what each supplier is still owed.
All amounts are yours: the fields show examples, not prices or averages. Monthly deposits run from today until the month before the wedding, rounded up to the rupee; the last one evens out. Not financial advice.

Questions
How much does a wedding cost in Nepal?
It depends almost entirely on the number of guests, the price per plate and how much gold you buy. Enter your own figures: the calculator shows the total and what it means each month until the wedding day.
What are the biggest costs?
Usually the bhoj (guests × price per plate) and the gold and jewellery, then the party palace and the wedding clothes. The pie chart in the Excel file shows where your money goes.
How do I keep both families on one budget?
Agree the total and each line before anything is booked, and record every advance on the «Payments» sheet: it shows what is still owed to each supplier.
Is there an Excel version?
Yes: the budget with formulas, the monthly plan, a guest list that counts the plates and a supplier payments sheet. It also opens in Google Sheets.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
It's free and you don't need an account: fill it in and download. With a free account you can save a copy to your Layers and come back to it later.
