How many lessons you will plan this year — and when each term ends
The first day of the school year, how many lessons a week you teach in your learning area and the number of teaching days. You see lessons per term and estimated term end dates; the scheme of work, lesson plan and record of work are open below.
A reminder before each term ends to bring your records of work up to date? We send it by e-mail.
The calendar file works without an account. The e-mail reminder needs a free account so we know where to send it.- Adjust the term dates to the Ministry of Education calendar for your year (holidays and half-term breaks are not in the estimate).
- Write the scheme of work for the term from the KICD curriculum design for your grade and learning area.
- Fill in the record of work after each lesson; your head of institution verifies professional documents (TSC Code of Regulations, reg. 42).
TSC Code of Regulations for Teachers 2015 (L.N. 196/2015), reg. 42(1)(a): every teacher shall possess the KICD-approved syllabus, schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, records of work, learners’ progress records, learners’ value added records and a class attendance register; reg. 42(2)(c): the head of institution verifies teachers’ professional documents. Calculation: teaching days ÷ 5 = weeks; lessons = weeks × lessons a week, split into three equal terms — an estimate, not the official calendar.
