Visa sponsorship letter — a letter to fill in, and what the embassy of your destination asks for
Ready, not blank.

Short answer. There is no single format: the country you are travelling to sets the rules. Germany's checklist for India asks for a personal covering letter and, if someone else pays, a sponsor letter with the sponsor's passport copy and three months of bank-stamped statements. No letter guarantees a visa.

What does not exist
Be careful with anyone who promises this.
- “A letter that guarantees the visa”: Germany's checklist, GOV.UK and Canada.ca all say the documents or the letter do not guarantee a visa.
- “One official format for every embassy”: Each country sets its own list. The three pages here ask for different things.
- “A booked flight speeds it up”: Germany's checklist says a booked ticket does not give preferred processing.
