Wedding in Israel · each month
Your wedding in shekels — and how much to save each month until the day
Guests, price per guest, photographer, DJ, dress, Rabbinate. You see the total and the dated monthly deposit, and an Excel file with expected gifts and a planning timeline.
A reminder on each deposit day?
The calendar file works without an account. E-mail reminders need a free account.- Put aside this month's deposit: the table gives every date until the wedding.
- Replace the examples with your quotes as they come in.
- Follow the timeline and give the venue your final guest number two weeks before.
Your amounts: the examples are not average prices. Equal deposits each month from today to the month before the wedding, rounded to the shekel; the last one adjusts. Expected gifts are your own estimate and are not counted in the savings. Not financial advice.

Questions
How much does a wedding in Israel cost?
Mostly the price per guest times the guest count. In the example (fictitious amounts): ₪360 × 300 guests = ₪108,000, and ₪194,500 with everything else — ₪17,167 a month from October 2026 to June 2027 after ₪40,000 already saved.
What goes into an Israeli wedding budget?
Price per guest at the hall or garden venue, photographer and photo magnets, DJ or band, dress, suit, make-up and hair, Rabbinate and rabbi, décor and chuppah, rings, invitations and RSVP, guest transport, honeymoon and a contingency.
How much do guests give at an Israeli wedding?
There is no fixed rule. In the «Gifts» sheet you enter your own estimate of envelopes and the average cheque and see what comes out of your pocket. The savings plan covers the full cost, because cheques arrive only after the wedding.
What is in the Excel file?
A budget with formulas, dated monthly deposits, a chart by item, a gifts sheet and a 12-month planning timeline.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
It is free and needs no sign-up: fill in the boxes and download the file. With a free account you can save a copy in your Layers and come back to it later.
