ILOE does not pay if you resigned or were dismissed for disciplinary reasons. In other cases you need at least 12 consecutive months of subscription, paid premiums and legal residence, and the claim goes in within 30 days of the end of your employment, or of the settlement of a labour complaint referred to court. Cancel your work permit first. If the date or reason shown in the claim is wrong, you can add remarks and upload papers. The letter and claim note are below.

Questions

How do I claim ILOE after termination?

Cancel your work permit first. Then sign in on the ILOE portal with your Emirates ID and mobile number, choose Claim Submission, confirm the cancellation reason and date, add any notes and papers, choose bank transfer or an exchange house, and submit. The brochure also names the ILOE app and the call centre on 600599555.

Can I claim ILOE if I resigned?

No. The policy asks you to prove the job loss was for a reason other than resignation.

My employer wrote the wrong reason. What can I do?

The claim guide says to add remarks explaining why the date or reason is not correct, and to upload supporting papers. The claim note in the sheet is for this.

I have a labour complaint in court. When do I claim?

The policy counts the 30 days from the settlement of a labour complaint referred to the judiciary. It also lists an undertaking to give a copy of the final ruling. Keep paying premiums while your work permit is valid.

What do I need to submit?

The brochure lists your Emirates ID number, your unified number or work permit number, a UAE phone number and your date of birth. The policy asks for the dismissal document showing the date and reason.

Who do I complain to if there is a problem?

First to the insurer, who should answer within five working days. After that, the policy says you can complain to the Central Bank of the UAE.
