Questions
How much does a wedding cost in Slovakia?
It depends mostly on the meal and the venue. In the example (fictional amounts) 80 guests come to €14,880, or €1,188 a month from October 2026 to July 2027 after €3,000 already saved.
Can foreigners get married in Slovakia?
Yes; the register office fee is €100 for a Slovak or EU citizen marrying a non-EU national, €280 for two non-EU nationals or if neither partner has permanent residence in Slovakia (Act No. 145/1995 Coll., item 18). Ask the register office which documents you need. Check at the start of the year.
What are výslužky?
Boxes of cakes and pastries that guests take home — a Slovak wedding custom. The spreadsheet counts them per guest together with the cake.
