Your plan

Your 52-week savings challenge in riyals — every date and every deposit

One goal, a method and the day of the first deposit. You see how much to put aside each week, the growing total and a chart; the table prints on one A4 page.

  1. Print the table or keep the Excel file on your phone; tick each deposit.
  2. With the fixed amount you can set up a weekly standing transfer at your bank.
  3. The «From your salary» sheet adds a fixed share of each salary alongside the challenge.

Arithmetic only: increasing — week n × step, step = goal ÷ (1 + 2 + … + 52) rounded up to the halala (SAR 1 × 52 weeks = SAR 1,378); fixed — goal ÷ 52; decreasing — the same amounts in reverse. Not financial advice.

Questions

How do I save SAR 10,000 in a year?

Increasing: a step of SAR 7.26, week 1 = 7.26 and week 52 = 377.52, total SAR 10,004.28. Fixed: SAR 192.31 every week.

What is the 52-week challenge?

In week n you save n × the step; with a SAR 1 step you reach SAR 1,378 after 52 weeks.

Can I also save from my monthly salary?

The Excel file has a «From your salary» sheet: a fixed share of each salary with the total for the year.

Why is the total slightly above my goal?

Because the step is rounded up to the halala.
