Ramadan and Eid in JOD — and how much to save each week until 1 Ramadan

Enter your family size and prices: staples, iftar, invitations, qatayef, zakat al-Fitr, Eid clothes, eidiya and Eid kaak. You see the total, the weekly amount until Ramadan and an Excel file with the staples list and the Ramadan days. No sign-up.

  1. Print the staples list from the file and buy the basics two weeks before Ramadan.
  2. Check the 1448 AH zakat al-Fitr amount when the Iftaa Department announces it, and update the file.
  3. Prepare eidiya envelopes two days before Eid, and pay zakat al-Fitr before the Eid prayer.

Arithmetic only: items = quantity × price; equal weekly saving from today to the day before 1 Ramadan, the last deposit adjusts. The date is calculated (tabular Hijri calendar). Zakat al-Fitr of JOD 1.800 is the 1447 AH figure (Iftaa Department, decision 331). Examples are not average prices. Not financial or religious advice.
