Your dues in JOD — under the Jordanian Labour Law
Enter your last wage, your service dates and your social security contribution months. We work out the end-of-service award for the period not covered by social security (Article 32), notice pay (23), unused leave (63) and arbitrary dismissal compensation if a court awarded it (25), and prepare an Excel file and a request for your dues.
- Print your social security contribution statement and check the months covered.
- Ask your employer for a written statement of dues and a certificate of service (Article 30), and compare it with this calculation.
- If you were dismissed and believe it was arbitrary, the claim goes to the competent court within 60 days of the dismissal.
Arithmetic only, under Labour Law No. 8 of 1996: award = last wage × months not covered by social security ÷ 12 (Article 32); notice = one month's wage (23); leave = days × wage ÷ 30 (63; dividing by 30 is an assumption); arbitrary dismissal = half a month's wage per year, at least two months' wage, if a court rules so (25). Not legal advice.

Questions
How is end of service calculated in Jordan?
Under Article 32 of the Labour Law: one month's wage for each year of actual service, fractions of a year pro rata, on your last wage. It is for a worker not subject to the Social Security Law, so the calculator counts only the months not covered by social security.
I pay into social security — do I get an end-of-service award?
Not for the period covered by social security, which provides for it instead. You still get your other dues: notice pay if due, pay for unused leave, and any better right in your contract or company rules (Article 4).
What is the notice period in Jordan?
At least one month's written notice for an open-ended contract (Article 23). If you leave before the notice ends, you compensate the employer with your wage for that period.
What is arbitrary dismissal compensation?
If you file a claim within 60 days of the dismissal and the court rules it arbitrary: half a month's wage for each year of service, at least two months' wage, plus notice pay and your other dues (Article 25).
Which wage is used?
Your last wage. If you are paid by commission or piece rate, the monthly average of the last 12 months (Article 32).
