Your susu in cedis — what comes back each month and when you reach your goal
What you give the collector each day, the days on the card, the days they keep, and your goal. You see what you pay in, the commission, what comes back each month and the months to your goal, plus a printable susu card. No sign-up.
- Agree the days on the card and the commission with your collector before the first day.
- Print the card, keep it yourself and tick it together each day.
- When the card ends, move the payout to your bank or MoMo savings and tick the goal tracker.
Arithmetic only: daily × days on the card, less daily × days the collector keeps; months to the goal rounded up. One day per card is the common custom, not a rule — ask your collector. Not financial advice.

The rules, with the source
| What | Deadline | Source |
|---|---|---|
| One card | Daily contribution × days on the card (often 31) | How the calculator counts |
| Commission | Daily contribution × days the collector keeps (often 1) | Custom, agreed with your collector |
| Back to you | One card − commission; months to the goal rounded up | How the calculator counts |
Susu terms are agreed with your collector, not set by a law in this calculator. Rotating susu groups, where each member takes the pot in turn, usually have no commission and are not calculated here.

Questions
How does susu work in Ghana?
A susu collector visits you every day and takes the same amount. At the end of the card — usually a month — you get the money back, less the collector's commission.
How much does the susu collector take?
Commonly one day's contribution per card: with GH₵20 a day and 31 days you pay in GH₵620 and get GH₵600 back. Ask your collector before you start; the calculator lets you change the days.
Is susu safe?
Know your collector, keep your own card, ask for their ID and licence or association card, and get a receipt or MoMo reference. For big goals, move each payout to a bank or savings account.
What is the difference between susu and a susu group?
With a collector, you get your own money back less a commission. In a rotating susu group everyone pays the same and one member takes the whole pot each turn.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
It is free and you do not need to sign up. With a free account you can save a copy to your Layers.
