What we do not do yet
Today we turn Word and ODT files into PDF. We do not edit, merge, compress or sign existing PDF files yet — for that, a PDF suite is still the right tool.

Questions
Do I need an account?
No. You choose the file and get the PDF. An account is only needed if you want to keep the document in your own Layers.
Is my file kept?
With the default option it is deleted after 2 hours; without it, after 24 hours. The transfer goes over HTTPS.
Why is there a line on the free PDF?
The free PDF carries a small “Made with Layers” line. Layers Pro removes it and adds tracked sending, signatures and reminders.
Can Layers replace Adobe Acrobat completely?
No, and we do not claim it. If you edit or merge PDF files every day, keep a PDF suite. If you mostly turn Word files into PDF, this is enough.
