How many days of leave you get in 2027 — with a calendar

Swapped working days are set each year by ministerial decree (s. 102(5)); check the 2027 decree, as the calendar shows statutory holidays only. Paternity leave (10 days) and parental leave (44 days) come on top.

Questions
How many days of annual leave do I get in Hungary?
20 days of basic leave, plus 1–10 days for age and 2, 4 or 7 days for children (+2 per disabled child). Example: born 1988, two children, one disabled: 20 + 7 + 6 = 33 days in 2027.
What if I start during the year?
You get a pro-rata share: full-year leave × days employed ÷ 365, with half a day or more counted as a whole day (s. 121). Starting on 1 April 2027 turns 37 days into 28.
What are the long weekends in Hungary in 2027?
By statutory holidays: 1–3 Jan, 13–15 Mar, Easter 26–29 Mar (4 days), 15–17 May, 20–22 Aug, 30 Oct–1 Nov. Swapped working days depend on the 2027 ministerial decree.
How early must I ask for leave?
For the 7 days on your chosen dates and the extra days for children, at least 15 days before the leave starts (s. 122(2), (4a)).
